These are my first ever tattoos, and probably my last. I’ve loved the idea for a very long time, and it’s the only one that i’ve never got bored of, and never will. I got the idea from greek mythology which i’ve loved ever since i was a little kid, and they are based on the messenger God Hermes, who has winged shoes. They were done and designed by Rob Richardson @ Immortal Arts in Carlisle, England. Immortal Arts is an incredible place who only tattoo original designs, and they are just all round amazing in every way! I love my wings so much, they are so much better then i could have ever imagined them to be!

“I came upon a doctor who appeared in quite poor health.I said ” there is nothing I can do for you, you can’t do for yourself.”He said “Oh yes you can. Just hold my hand. I think that would help.”So I sat with him a while and then I asked him how he felt.He said, “I think I’m cured. No, in fact, I’m sure.Thank you Stranger, for your therapeutic smile.”“

I could never quite explain why, but seeing airplanes in the sky would always make me unreasonably sad. I’d imagine it’s because there is such a lot of world to see, and I wanted more than anything to be on that airplane, to go wherever it was going, and see absolutely everything.
And strangely enough, I noticed that once I got this tattoo, the mysterious sadness doesn’t happen quite so often anymore.

EISLEY ANNOUNCES FALL HEADLINING TOUR:  VALLEYSCAPES
Indie-pop quintet, Eisley has announced ValleyScapes, a one-month long headlining tour with support from Tampa, FL-based band Marksmen and younger sister, Christie DuPree. Along the route, Eisley will also perform at the 2011 Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, WA.
Eisley has also announced that they are currently recording a new EP, with an anticipated release of late 2011. Andy Freeman, who mixed the band’s latest release, The Valley, has joined the band in Tyler, TX to produce the album. Recording on location at the house of vocalist/guitarist Sherri DuPree-Bemis, Freeman has transformed the house into a high-tech recording studio.
The EP will feature more of Eisley’s signature sound of airy dreaminess delicately intertwined with breathtaking vocals, intricate, rich guitar work and whimsical lyrics.  Freeman elaborates, “Their music has always had a great sense of place, and I wish every fan could see the house they grew up in because it tells a great story. The art on the walls, the paint colors, the antique signs and paintings…their songs tie into all of that, and these little bits and pieces of their childhood home found their way into their music and creative sensibilities in one form or another. Sherri’s house, where we’re recording right now, is a continuation of that. Her personality - and that of her husband, Max - infuses every detail of the house.”  DuPree-Bemis adds, “This is the first time we’ve ever recorded a real project in our homes, we’re really excited. Being able to do this in the comfort of our own home is going to make the project really beautiful because everyone feels so relaxed.” The Valley is now available in-stores, on tour and through online retailers such as MerchNOW, iTunes and Amazon.
